Giving

There are at least three reasons to give:

• Giving teaches us to prioritize God. (Check out Deuteronomy 14:23)

• Giving allows the church to do things you believe are good but may not have the time or skill to do yourself (like teaching children, taking world care trips, or maintaining a facility where people meet and activities are held throughout the week).

Whatever you decide to do, keep this instruction from St. Paul in mind:

“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.'” (2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT)
